Burns

Each year in the United States, 1.1 million burn injuries require medical attention. Over 100,000 of these injuries require hospitalization with as many as 70,000 requiring intensive care. As many as 10,000 people die from infections related to burn injuries.

Medical approaches that include early excision of the wound and closure with skin grafts and debridement have greatly improved the outlook for burn victims. The human body has a great capacity to recover from burn injuries especially when provided with the proper medical care. However, there are often long term effects and large medical bills combined with a loss of income.

The burn injury lawyers at Rush & Gransee will investigate the source of the burn injury whether it is thermal, electrical, chemical or radiation. The purpose of the investigation will be to understand the mechanism of the injury and to determine who was at fault in causing the injury. All responsible parties need to be identified in the investigation and they need to be held accountable. Furthermore, our of-counsel medical doctor will be able to assist us in describing to a jury your injuries as well as your course of treatment.

Our purpose will be to hold those parties accountable that are responsible for your injuries and to compensate you for your losses. See the CDC Injury Fact Sheet on Burns for additional information.
